Last Sunday night the Heat played a hard game and beat the Celtics. The Heat were 0-3 against the Celtics and needed to beat them to secure the no. 2 seed fo the playoffs. Many people had been doubting the Heat's ability to be a good playoff team all season. The Heat have had there ups and downs all season anad it looks to be all coming together. They've beat the Lakers both times they played them, as well as killing the Spurs late in the season and now finally taking down the Celtics. The Bulls will likely be there main oppenent on the way to the finals.
The main scorer for the Heat was LeBron James. He had 27 points, a very impressive game. Dwayne Wade added 14 and Chris Bosh had 13. All of the big 3 contributed to the wells deserved win. The Heat will porbably have the 76ers first game for the playoffs. They are now 57-24 and are ranked 2nd place in the Eastern Conference Standings.

Bucks Beat Miami
The Milwakee Bucks beat the Miami Heat this week. This was a pretty big upset. Miami was 3-0 against the Bucks this seaon. This game knocked Miami a half a game behind Boston for the 2nd place seed in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks had been eliminated from the playoffs not long before taking out one of the best teams in the league.
The Heat didn't have Wade this game and that probably contributed to the loss. He is a very good player and a key to the Heat's success. LeBron James had 29 points, which was not enough to top the Bucks but still an impressive game. Chris Bosh added 18 points, neither James nor Bosh had double-doubles. the Heat are now 54-24 and are ranked 3rd in the Eastern Conference Standings, behind hte Celtics and Bulls.

Playoffs Almost Here
This week the Miami Heat defeated the Houston Rockets 125 to 119. This is a good solid victory for the Heat. The Big 3 all got points and rebounds in the double digits (double-double). This was a game where the Big 3 came together as a unit and played very well. Mike Bibby also stepped up this game, adding 14 points for the Heat. LeBron James had 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Dwayne Wade had 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Chris Bosh had 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Big 3 really did all the work in this game against the Rockets. Their offense was very good this game, but their defense could use some work. This game shouldn't have been as close as it was, the Heat's defense could and should be playing better at this point in the season. The Rockets were able to get their offense rolling, Kevin Martin had 29 points, Luis Scola had 28 points, and Kyle Lowry had 25 points. The Heat should be playing better than this, their record is now 51-22 and are ranked 3rd in the Eastern Conference Standings.

Heat Get a Break
This week the Heat won against the L.A. Lakers, one of the best teams in the NBA. This victory was huge for the Heat. It stopped a 5 game losing streak. This game also stopped a 7 game winning streak for the Lakers. The regular season is almost over and these last few games really mean a lot. The Heat got most of their help from the weaker of hte Big 3, Chris Bosh. Bosh had 29 points and 9 rebounds, a very impressive game against such a team as the Lakers. Dwayne Wade had 20 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, while LeBron James had 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. James and Wade both put up very solid numbers.
What really helped the Heat overcome the Lakers was probably how the whole team steped up. Mario Chalmers had 9 points and 5 assists. He hasnt had a very good season and the Heat have thought about trading him. Mike Miller had 12 points and 7 assists which is also very impressive for a back-up player. The other players (not the Big 3) were responsible for 31 points which was probably the reason the Heat won. In the NBA you cant just have 3 amazing players to win a championship and it will take all the Heat players to be successful. The Heat are now 45-21 and are 3rd in the Easter Conference Standings.

Not Looking Good
This week the Miami Heat suffered an embarassing loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are possibly the top team in the NBA right now. They have the best win/loss record and are defintiely in the running for the championship. The game was in San Antonio and the final score was 125-95. Leading scorers for the Heat were LeBron James with 26 points and 8 rebounds, Dwayne Wade with 19 points and 2 rebounds, and Chris Bosh with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Leading the boards for the Spurs were, Ginobili with 20 points, Parker with 15, and Jefferson with 11. The Spur's offense has much more consistant talent rather than just a few really good players like the Heat. THis is a crucial time in the season where it is very important for teams to be winning. The playoffs are coming soon and the Heat are looking like they might not make it very far. The Heat are now 3rd in the Eastern Conference Standings, the lowest they have ever been, and they're record is 43-19.

Heat Fall to New "Knicks"
The Miami Heat fell to the New York Knicks this week. The game was in Miami and definitely a game that the Heat should be winning. The "Knicks" however have a new look because of the recent trade for Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. Stoudemire, the star of the Knicks, is also a very good player. With this new look the Knicks could be a very dangerous team in the future.
The Big 3 played pretty well in this game. LeBron James had 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Chris Bosh had 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assist. A double-double, when a player has double digits in 2 catagories, is very immpressive in a game like this. Dwayne wade had a fairly bad game with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. The Heat are now 43-17 which puts them in 2nd place behind the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Standings.

Tornoto Goes Down, LeBron Makes History
The Heat beat the Toronto Raptors 103-95. This was a good game for the Heat. Granted that Toronto isn’t very good, this game will just help the Heat and improve their record. Toronto is Chris Bosh’s former team so I think that this pushed him to try harder. He racked up 25 points and 6 rebounds. Wade had 28 and LeBron finished with 23. This definitely shows how good the “Big 3” really are. Toronto’s fans were pretty hard on Bosh and this just pushed him to try harder. The same thing happened in Cleveland for LeBron. The crowd gets into the game trying to psych players out and it back fires on them.
LeBron made history this week at the all-star game. He scored a triple double. The only other player to do that in history was Michael Jordan. LeBron scored 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Heat are now tied with the Celtics for 1st in the Eastern Conference Standings. Their record is 41-15.
