The Miami Heat fell to the New York Knicks this week. The game was in Miami and definitely a game that the Heat should be winning. The "Knicks" however have a new look because of the recent trade for Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. Stoudemire, the star of the Knicks, is also a very good player. With this new look the Knicks could be a very dangerous team in the future.
The Big 3 played pretty well in this game. LeBron James had 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Chris Bosh had 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assist. A double-double, when a player has double digits in 2 catagories, is very immpressive in a game like this. Dwayne wade had a fairly bad game with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. The Heat are now 43-17 which puts them in 2nd place behind the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Standings.

Tornoto Goes Down, LeBron Makes History
The Heat beat the Toronto Raptors 103-95. This was a good game for the Heat. Granted that Toronto isn’t very good, this game will just help the Heat and improve their record. Toronto is Chris Bosh’s former team so I think that this pushed him to try harder. He racked up 25 points and 6 rebounds. Wade had 28 and LeBron finished with 23. This definitely shows how good the “Big 3” really are. Toronto’s fans were pretty hard on Bosh and this just pushed him to try harder. The same thing happened in Cleveland for LeBron. The crowd gets into the game trying to psych players out and it back fires on them.
LeBron made history this week at the all-star game. He scored a triple double. The only other player to do that in history was Michael Jordan. LeBron scored 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. The Heat are now tied with the Celtics for 1st in the Eastern Conference Standings. Their record is 41-15.

Heat Take the Lead
The Heat played the Detroit Pistons this week and the Miami Heat beat the Detroit Pistons this week. LeBron James had 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. James was very close to a triple-double which would have been very impressive in a game like this. Chris Bosh had 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Dwayne Wade led the team with 24 points. Mike Miller, who is from South Dakota, scored 16 points which is very impressive considering that he, is not talked about much.
The Pistons played rather well considering that they were out matched by the “Big 3.” For Detroit, Austin Daye scored 18 while Ben Gordon scored 16. Other big names for the Pistons were Tayshaun Prince, who added 11 points, and Greg Monroe. The Heat were tied with that Celtics for the #1 spot in the Eastern Conference Standings and with this win they took the lead. The Heat are now 31-15, and are looking to get even better for the playoffs.

Heat get Revenge
The Miami Heat got a little revenge this week when they played the Los Angeles Clippers, and won 97-79. The biggest reason that the Heat were able to outdo the Clippers was because they shut down the Clipper’s All Star, Blake Griffin. They held Griffin to 21 points, and 16 rebounds. Leading the Heat was Dwayne Wade with 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. Other leading scorers for the Heat include: Chris Bosh with 16, Eddie House with 15, and LeBron James with a season low 12 points.
Blake Griffin is a very versatile player for the Clippers. The main reason the Heat won is because they were able to shut him down. Getting Griffin frustrated played a key role in keeping the Clipper’s All Star from getting in his groove. The Clipper’s shooting percentage was at a very low 32.5%. This is the cause of many factors, I’d say that the hype of a young team, such as the Clippers, playing the Miami Heat with 3 of the league’s best players. LeBron James shot a season low of 12 points this game. This is obviously way off for him but I would say this is also because he was concerned with shutting Griffin down. The Heat are now 37-14 and still ranked 2nd in the Eastern Conference Standings.
