This week the Miami Heat defeated the Houston Rockets 125 to 119. This is a good solid victory for the Heat. The Big 3 all got points and rebounds in the double digits (double-double). This was a game where the Big 3 came together as a unit and played very well. Mike Bibby also stepped up this game, adding 14 points for the Heat. LeBron James had 33 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Dwayne Wade had 30 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists. Chris Bosh had 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 assists.
The Big 3 really did all the work in this game against the Rockets. Their offense was very good this game, but their defense could use some work. This game shouldn't have been as close as it was, the Heat's defense could and should be playing better at this point in the season. The Rockets were able to get their offense rolling, Kevin Martin had 29 points, Luis Scola had 28 points, and Kyle Lowry had 25 points. The Heat should be playing better than this, their record is now 51-22 and are ranked 3rd in the Eastern Conference Standings.

Heat Get a Break
This week the Heat won against the L.A. Lakers, one of the best teams in the NBA. This victory was huge for the Heat. It stopped a 5 game losing streak. This game also stopped a 7 game winning streak for the Lakers. The regular season is almost over and these last few games really mean a lot. The Heat got most of their help from the weaker of hte Big 3, Chris Bosh. Bosh had 29 points and 9 rebounds, a very impressive game against such a team as the Lakers. Dwayne Wade had 20 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds, while LeBron James had 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. James and Wade both put up very solid numbers.
What really helped the Heat overcome the Lakers was probably how the whole team steped up. Mario Chalmers had 9 points and 5 assists. He hasnt had a very good season and the Heat have thought about trading him. Mike Miller had 12 points and 7 assists which is also very impressive for a back-up player. The other players (not the Big 3) were responsible for 31 points which was probably the reason the Heat won. In the NBA you cant just have 3 amazing players to win a championship and it will take all the Heat players to be successful. The Heat are now 45-21 and are 3rd in the Easter Conference Standings.

Not Looking Good
This week the Miami Heat suffered an embarassing loss to the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are possibly the top team in the NBA right now. They have the best win/loss record and are defintiely in the running for the championship. The game was in San Antonio and the final score was 125-95. Leading scorers for the Heat were LeBron James with 26 points and 8 rebounds, Dwayne Wade with 19 points and 2 rebounds, and Chris Bosh with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Leading the boards for the Spurs were, Ginobili with 20 points, Parker with 15, and Jefferson with 11. The Spur's offense has much more consistant talent rather than just a few really good players like the Heat. THis is a crucial time in the season where it is very important for teams to be winning. The playoffs are coming soon and the Heat are looking like they might not make it very far. The Heat are now 3rd in the Eastern Conference Standings, the lowest they have ever been, and they're record is 43-19.
